I'll be speaking about "The Course of Empire: Athens, Rome, and

I'll be reading and answering questions from the Tucson chapter of the
Archaeological Institute of America on Monday, April 24, 2006. The presentation
title is "Et in Arcadia Ego: Coming to Terms with Flawed Heroes
in Historical Fiction". The event will be held in ILC 141 on the
campus of University of Arizona, at 4:30 pm.

Cornell University Professor Barry Strauss has made THE ISLE OF STONE
required reading for History 256: War & Peace in Greece and Rome.
I will also be visiting the class on February 22, 2006 to face my captive
