I'll be speaking about "The Course of Empire: Athens, Rome, and America's Imperial Myth" at Bookery II in Ithaca on Sunday, July 30 at 4pm. I'll be reading and answering questions from the Tucson chapter of the Archaeological Institute of America on Monday, April 24, 2006. The presentation title is "Et in Arcadia Ego: Coming to Terms with Flawed Heroes in Historical Fiction". The event will be held in ILC 141 on the campus of University of Arizona, at 4:30 pm.

Cornell University Professor Barry Strauss has made THE ISLE OF STONE required reading for History 256: War & Peace in Greece and Rome. I will also be visiting the class on February 22, 2006 to face my captive audience (McGraw 165, 2:30pm).
